Aquarius – Marching to Their Own Drummer in Life and Love

Trying to figure out a person with the Sun, Moon, or rising sign of Aquarius is a bit like trying to catch a moonbeam… Or find the end of a rainbow… Or ride a unicorn… Just when you think you’ve “cracked their code”, they transform in some magical way.

Crazy, brilliant, individualistic to the point of being eccentric, idealistic to the point of dreaminess – they’re NEVER dull.

It takes time for these Saturn-ruled, fixed people to get into a relationship – let alone fall in love. But once they do, they don’t let go easily. They love everyone they’ve ever loved for FOREVER…

Unless afflicted, this is one of the most fiercely loyal of all the signs. And they expect the same from their friends and mates.

Speaking of, this is the natural sign of groups and friends, so they can get confused between who is their friend and who is MORE.

At the height of ecstatic romantic or sexual connection, they’re known to scream, “You’re my BEST FRIEND!”

Being an Air sign, Aquarians are extremely social. Considered the most tolerant, open-minded, “live and let live” sign, they like everyone from the janitor to the C.E.O. the same, judging a person not on his or her “stuff” or achievements, but instead for their goodness and how interesting their stories.

So, don’t worry if you think your “resume” isn’t impressive. They won’t care.

Because they’re so interested in everything, give them tons of FREEDOM. The greatest gift you can give them is the space to be their unique, independent self.

They definitely “march to their own drummer,” so even if they SEEM completely normal, they’ll have some strange quirk that will take you by surprise.

Like they’ll ride a unicycle everywhere, play in a xylophone/banjo quartet, or give impromptu “spoken word” poetry readings – at work…

Be sure to support all of their often wacky dreams. The way to lose them FAST is to try to get them to “fit in,” or to be jealous, petty, clingy or competitive with others for their time.

If they’re insecure or from a painful childhood, watch out! They can be very bossy, selfish, or critical.

Aquarians tend to have so many projects going at a time that it can be hard for them to pay enough attention to their personal life.

They most long to help the world and “make a difference.” They’re so sure that their way is RIGHT and GOOD, that if others don’t agree or see their point of view, they take it deeply personally. So if you don’t, keep it to yourself.

It would mean so much to them if you’d ALSO run your car on potato juice. And transcribe all of their telepathic communication with beings from the Pleiades. And go door-to-door raising money for their glow-in-the-dark, tie-dye doggie T-shirt business…

(I’m so not kidding!)

When focused on an assignment or goal, they can become absorbed in it to the exclusion of all else – suddenly aloof and far away. They need a great deal of time alone, which is confusing, given how friendly they are.

They’re actually deeply private, and only reveal their more sensitive feelings after a long time… And though they can appear to be the “life of the party”, they’d rather be home with a good documentary.

Though at first you can feel like you know them deeply and are connecting so easily, you’re only just scratching their multi-layered surface.

But if you’re patient, and willing to wait, (and they’re healthy) you may be pleasantly surprised at the level of sweetness they’re capable of…

Buy them the latest technical gadgets as gifts. And make sure to constantly change your routine, be up for anything, and ready to always do something new.

It may get confusing, and exhausting, and everyone may think you’re nuts, but who knows? They may just change the world after all, with you by their side… Or on the back of their unicycle!
